In depth

Verdict

Son of Greek Myth has been hard to win with of late but did finally score at Plumpton in September; however, two defeats since then temper enthusiasm and a safer bet looks to be Nawow, who gets the vote ahead of Almizan. The last mentioned, a stablemate of Son Of Greek Myth, ran creditably over two miles here last time and should do better over this longer trip today so warrants respect. Madiba was well held in the Cesarewitch when last seen and is now 10lbs higher than when successful here over shorter in September so may now be a shade high in the weights. Proprioception has similarly been dealt a hard blow by the handicapper having been raised 7lbs for his recent Hereford success, while Dr Cerullo would need to improve on the form of his Uttoxeter run to take a hand here. Nawow carried recent improved flat form over to hurdles when chasing home From Dawn To Dusk at Worcester though and on that effort he looks the one they have to beat.
