If King Brex is ready for his first start since May then Charlie Mann's gelding would have every chance in this handicap chase but Nigel Twiston-Davies has a strong hand here with NUDGE AND NURDLE preferred to stable companion Kirby's Vic. The nine-year-old disappointed at Worcester last month but earlier form when successful in races at Southwell and Market Rasen gives him every chance and he makes more appeal than Tim Vaughan's Star Shot, who has been well held in his last three starts. Warpath is capable and has dropped to a fair mark but it is hard to back the Evan Williams-trained gelding on recent form. Alison Thorpe's Ouste lacks a recent outing but his trainer is more than capable of getting one ready first time up and the market may give an indication as to whether he is fit for his reappearance. Nudge And Nurdle has shown improved form in recent starts though and he has solid claims off the same mark as when a close second to Max Bygraves at Market Rasen last month.
