Lupanar probably should have won recently but is taken to make amends here, with Maraafeq and Special Day rated as dangers. The selection possibly found the longer trip too much of a test last time out when denied by Inghwung, and will be more at home over this intermediate trip. This nicely-bred individual is likely to be ridden a little more prominently today, and he can recover some of the losses suffered last time out. Special Day has five pounds to find on official ratings here as they race off level weights, however he needs to bounce back from an abject display last time. Again, it may be that today's shorter trip will play to his strengths, and he also wouldn't mind any further rain. Maraafeq ran a much better race last time out, when only beaten two lengths by Tamimi's History, and there may be more to come from this former French flat horse, as he had some fair form on the level. At a price Hawk Gold may surprise a few, however this looks a three-horse-race and it is Lupanar who can take this race for Gary Moore, providing him with his third winner in five years.
