Special Reserve should be in the mix but hasn't been one to rely on in the past, Annabelle's Charm is respected but GAIA PRINCE is the one that we want to be with. Amanda Perrett has been amongst the winners of late and it would be no surprise were her charge to attract support. He went into plenty of notebooks when chasing home the well regarded Checklow on his second start but failed to land a blow on his handicap bow in June. He's been absent since suggesting that something may have been amiss and he's worth another chance to confirm that promise in this company. Special Reserve has finished runner-up on no fewer than six occasions but is still awaiting his first success. That raises obvious doubts and it's not difficult to look elsewhere although he clearly has the ability to win races of this nature. Annabelle's Charm has been made favourite for all five career starts and her supporters have collected only once when she was 1-4. She hasn't always looked totally straightforward but has too much ability to dismiss lightly. Constant Cheers needs to have improved over the winter if he's to defy the handicapper whilst Coyote Creek may be seen to better effect once the headgear is reapplied. There are question marks over the selection too but we expect Gaia Prince to have the answers.
