A small field goes to post for this contest, and Murphy's Cardinal is taken to maintain his unbeaten record. The gelding from the Noel Chance yard is twice a winner at the track, is proven on the ground and although he finished lame last time out and he will be hard to beat with conditions again in his favour despite his penalty. Supreme Priority rates the main danger he has shown enough in bumpers to suggest he can win a race of this nature, he is bred to appreciate this trip and he is sure to have been well schooled for this his debut over hurdles. Mater Trix is a course winner over two miles but he has also shown form over further. The Mark Pitman trained gelding was a fair third at Aintree last time out behind Far Horizon and this looks an easier contest. Roky Star ran as if this trip was to far for him when fourth over course and distance behind Cowboyboots and needs to improve to win. St Palais is sprint bred and is not sure to stay this trip and her best form is on slightly faster ground. Instant Justice needs to improve on all known form to take a hand in the finish.
