Not the most inspiring of contests. This looks on paper to be a two-horse race between Tallow Bay and Majestic Bay. The former was given an enterprising ride by Antony Honeyball at Folkestone and if he shows no ill-effects from that slog in the mud, he has to be given a fair chance of following up. The latter is making his bow over chase fences and is a well-upholstered individual. He does tend to look rather sluggish in a finish and will probably need to be put out the front to stake his claim. San Marino is sent here directly from the bumper route. He was not knocked about on debut but clearly something happened between then and now for him to head straight for fences. The remainder of the field look distinctly opposable.
