In depth

Verdict

Another small but competitive field go to post for this handicap chase. Four Mile Clump ran well after an absence when fourth behind Swincombe last time out and is sure to have come on for the run but his best form is on faster ground. Chadswell ran well off this mark at Sedgefield last time out when second behind Master Club Royal. The gelding from the Richard Ford yard is proven on the ground and is sure to run his race despite top weight. River Bug is another proven on the ground and is well weighted on his best form but he ran appallingly for no apparent reason on this course last time out. Minella Storm has been mixing hurdling and chasing this year without success and was tailed off when fourth behind Lucy's Lad last time out. Hotters is well in on his best hurdle and chase form and has had every chance in his last two races when his jumping has let him down, he will be a danger to all if he gets around. Robbie's Adventure could run well off his light weight but is very one paced. Jurassic Scratch is woefully out of form and can not be considered.
