In depth

Verdict

This isn't as strong as the numbers might suggest. Russian Princess, a sister to the useful, if somewhat frustrating Colonel Cotton, has shown more than enough to suggest a small race should come her way, and this step up in trip will certainly help her. However, she faces a more than useful, if somewhat exposed rival in the shape of Fellow Ship, who comes from a top-class family which consists of Oaks winner Bireme and Group 3 winner Yawl. He is clearly nowhere near as good as those fillies, but it will be a major disappointment if he can't lose his maiden tag here. Related to several winners, Musawah will be worth plenty if she can get her head in front, but she may have to wait until she goes handicapping before we see her at her best.
