Charlevoix won well last time and she looks a good bet to score again here; Italian Goddess and Lunar River rate as the main dangers. The selection is on the hat-trick mission here and although she has a 6lbs penalty for her latest success at Yarmouth, the manner of that win marked her down as one to stay on the right side of. Italian Goddess was far from disgraced at Brighton last time when she was collared close home by Caltire and this frontrunner is expected to go well. She has ground conditions to suit and remains on a fair mark so she should give our selection plenty to think about. Lunar River put in an encouraging effort at Lingfield last time and she usually produces her best form at this time of year, so she is another that has to enter calculations. Rowan River could prove best of the others, but Charlevoix is in great form and she is put forward as the pick.
