A chance is taken with Trigger's Friend, who is selected ahead of York Cliff, Sand Repeal and Adage. There may also be plenty to come from Wotchalike, who reverts to the Flat after a successful spell over jumps (albeit at a modest level) and should not be discounted either. He can be unpredictable, though. And it may be best to see if the betting market reveals any clues towards his frame of mind. Adage holds the likes of Fiddlers Ford and Chiff Chaff from their recent encounter at Kempton - a run that bodes well for the return to turf today. Still it has to be a concern that all his wins have been gained at a mile and a half at Wolverhampton, so he has a bit to prove on the balance of form. Sand Repeal goes well here and has very little to find to at least make the frame, while York Cliff is back on a winning mark and is long overdue another success. However, Trigger¿s Friend is far less exposed than any of her rivals and, as a daughter of mighty stayer Double Trigger; she can be expected to improve for the step up in trip. The switch to turf is not expected to be a problem and the Jamie Poulton-trained filly makes plenty of appeal for a sporting punt at the likely odds.
