An interesting maiden and with the Henry Cecil yard going well at present, this looks an excellent opportunity for My Mellors to see off Akrmina and Hurricane Love. The selection boasts very consistent form and has fewer negatives than his leading rivals here. He was third at Carlisle on his latest start, and the runner-up has franked the form by winning since. Akrmina has a similar level of form to My Mellors but Michael Jarvis' filly is not certain to appreciate the drop to seven furlongs, having finished third over a mile at Brighton last time. Hurricane Love is arguably the first choice from the Barry Hills stable judging by jockey bookings but this significant drop in trip is a concern, while Nashwan Star is best watched after a disappointing latest effort at Beverley, although her earlier form would certainly give her a chance. Duo Leoni is entitled to improve and has each way prospects whilst the market may guide with regard to Super Song, but My Mellors looks to be the safest bet in a poor race.
