One or two of the Newmarket heavyweights have entries in this race so it could be worth siding with TOWANDA against the proven pair of Three Moons and Pollys Mark. John Gosden's string have already been among the winners this term and the stoutly bred filly catches the eye on pedigree and if living anywhere up to it, she should take the beating. Three Moons is officially rated 82. Placed in four fair maidens last term, if she retains her ability she will be a stiff benchmark for the others. Pollys Mark is rated 75. There is a suspicion that she might be seen to better effect on a softer surface. Bishaara was a disappointment at Kempton and the blinkers are slapped on as a consequence. Qelaan showed plenty of pace at Sandown and will make more interest once tried in handicaps. Invincible Isle has a fairly precocious pedigree on her father's side so this trip is something of a headscratcher. Hold The Star is sure to have learnt plenty on her first outing and can be anticipated to have improved. Clive Brittain's runners in maidens are invariably allowed to go off at bigger prices than they should so a cursory check on Saa'Ida seems a logical move before the off. A good maiden by the track's standards and Towanda is nominated as the most likely winner.
