ARTISTIC LICENCE is our idea of the winner with Vhujon and Resplendent Alpha offered up as alternatives. Mick Channon's filly was initially outpaced at Bath but she kept on well to run into the places and has no issues in relation to fitness. Vhujon invariably pops up at a price. Six furlongs is his trip and having had a busy campaign over the winter, a couple of months away may just have freshened him up. Resplendent Alpha is entirely capable though needs everything to fall right. He is rated 5lb less on the turf though has only obliged on one out of 17 starts compared to four from 28 on artificial surfaces. Buxton has gradually edged down the handicap. Were his trainer in slightly better form, he would make infinitely more appeal. Credit Swap hails from a shrewd yard and is ideally placed to make a beeline for the far rail. The booking of Jamie Spencer aboard Hustle is interesting under the circumstances. Rash Judgement lost his way last year although Ryan Moore replaces an apprentice in the plate today. Aye Aye Digby is an infrequent winner though is at least proven on the prevailing ground. Artistic Licence is taken to score.
