Some future jumpers here and SABORIDO is selected for tonight with Il Portico and Moment Present on the shortlist of possibles. Amanda Perrett's horses ran well at Goodwood last week and the grey won his latest start last month at Kempton. He has to be forgiven a below par effort at Ripon though in fairness to him, the stable's runners were not exactly firing at that juncture. Il Portico would be of interest if Cathy Gannon is able to do 7st 12lb. He has run with credit over 1m4f though was probably ridden a little too defensively at Chepstow last time out. Moment Present is better known as a staying type over hurdles. The market will tell us whether this run can be filed into the box marked pipe opener. Swordsman has run well on very firm ground and it is interesting that connections maintain the visor despite seeing a disappointing run for the application of it last time. Kokkokila represents an extremely shrewd outfit and has won three of her 14 starts on the turf thus far. Cases can be made for plenty of these and Saborido's appears to be the most cogent.
