Another contest where caution is advised given that the ground is forecast to be so testing and none of these are guaranteed to handle it and POCKET'S PICK is a tentative suggestion to get the better of Lucky Leigh and hat-trick seeking Straboe. The selection was in decent form in late 2009, when he proved that he stays 6f and acts on the slow Fibresand surface. Both those factors will stand him in good stead here over the minimum trip and in testing ground, and with Ryan Moore up we will give him the nod. Straboe has won three of his last four starts, though his only previous try on soft ground was here on debut over 7f, when he was unfancied and thrashed. Even so, he has to be respected and if he turns up then we assume that Stuart Williams will be confident enough that he will act in the conditions. Lucky Leigh has never shown her best when there has been cut in the ground, but her mark is slowly slipping and that might enable her to show up better this time. Ginobili goes well when fresh and comes here after a five month absence, while he has also gone well here on soft ground before. He would have to be considered a player from today's lowly mark of 68, while Desperate Dan has claims if at his best, though like so many in the field he tends to favour a sound or fast surface, and we will suggest Pocket's Pick as the pick.
