Verdict
Clemento landed two of six hurdling starts for John Quinn and ran well on his first run for the in-form O'Brien team when a solid Warwick second in a Class 4 handicap on the back of a 383-day break. Given time to recover from the run, he's expected to contend strongly off a potentially lenient mark of 112. HOOROO is a narrow preference though as he showed a tough side of his nature to beat his elders in a Perth hurdle and could well repeat the dose off a 5lb higher mark now. He seems sure to progress further after a mere four hurdling starts. John Betjeman finally got his long-awaited victory over course and distance last time and should go well again now he has the taste for it. Sideshift is interesting too, having joined Jonjo O'Neill from the Elliott/Foster yard.
