In depth

Verdict

Emma Lavelle explained that the highly impressive success of JEMIMA P just over three weeks ago at Worcester was down to the galloping nature of the track so hopefully the Jeremy mare can follow up her 16-length romp on another left-handed track suited to gallopers despite a harsh-looking 11lb hit from the handicapper. Quartz Du Rheu, an ex-Willie Mullins inmate, has yet to spark for his new yard but is down to a very workable mark now and Black Buble is going to crop up one of these days when everything clicks and is shortlisted in receipt of weight all round. Imperial Flem is extremely lightly-raced and is very hard to assess but could be anything.
