In depth

Verdict

Eve Johnson Houghton's Acquaviva has the highest rating of those to have earned one but that is on the basis of an improved effort in a classified stakes race three outings ago and, having twice been well beaten since then, she looks best left out of calculations. Jaldarshaan ran much better at Windsor last time than she had done on her debut but may prefer softer ground, while Hugh Morrison's French Fantasy has been placed in her last two outings but looks booked for a place at best again given her overall form. Rod Millman's Brewers Boy and the William Haggas-trained Praesepe are others to consider but it is RED RHYTHM that gets the vote. Luca Cumani's colt lacks a run but he is bred to be useful being a son of Starcraft out of a Zafonic mare and he would not need to anything out of the ordinary to win this.
