John Gosden's SPACE WAR disappointed on a softish surface at Nottingham last month but form the time before when a close fourth behind Give Your Verdict at Sandown reads well in the context of this race and he looks worth backing to resume winning ways with the main danger rated as Daboos. Marcus Tregoning's gelding races off the same mark as when fourth behind Hidden Glory on his handicap debut at Kempton last month but he is lightly raced and there may be more to come. Sylvester Kirk's First In The Queue has harshly gone up 7lb for his win on soft ground at Newbury, while Willie Muir's Merchant Of Medici has a penalty to carry for his success at Kempton and both may struggle to follow up.
