Verdict

Admiral Barratry has won twice over 2m5f around here and ran very well over 3m1f at Plumpton last time where he may have finished closer but for losing a shoe. VIA DOLOROSA had his first victory since arriving from France at Southwell earlier this month and, though penalised, his rider's claim takes care of the extra so a quick double looks on the cards. Outonpatrol was in fine form on good ground in the autumn so conditions should be in his favour while Potters Legend, an impressive course and distance winner a year ago, has mainly competed in better company subsequently and is 8lb lower. Go Steady, a winner five times over fences, is having his first start over a trip this far.
