    Verdict

A disappointing field of just four turn up for this relatively valuable Novice Chase and the lack of interest could be down to the presence of NO PANIC who should land this without breaking a sweat leaving Badger and Pelo Du Bief fighting for minor prizes. The pick is rated at 128 after a decent high class Novice campaign this season including picking up some decent prize money behind some smart sorts. It is a little concerning he lost his pilot last time out but with Tony McCoy returning to the plate we can expect a victory. Badger would be the main danger, that word is used very lightly as he is rated 42lbs worse than the pick according to the official ratings. His form is solid but nothing to get excited about and he has it all to do to win. Pelo Du Bief has a little less to find based on his hurdles form having run well at this level in that sphere but this is a tough assignment for a chase debut. The only other in the race Finnegans Rainbow may be best staying at home as he'll need a massive improvement to even get close to No Panic.
