This is a race Tony Martin always targets and he's won four of the last seven. The novice Tayto Park was due to run in a maiden here yesterday so that result should be monitored though Mydor may have a better chance. He was in tremendous form over hurdles at this time a year ago and had been chasing before a spin back over hurdles in January. Sonny B is on a hat-trick after comfortable victories at Thurles and Cork though a 9lb rise makes this much more difficult. Dallas Cowboy, who was a long way behind him in that latter event, was nowhere near his best and an earlier fall may have affected his confidence though he should be better for the race. Shannak couldn't be in better shape having completed a double on the track in January. He's been freshened up for this though another 10lb rise might just prove too much of a burden. ISLEOFHOPENDREAMS (NAP) was having his first start for two years when third over the minimum trip at Thurles last month. With that under his belt and the longer trip in his favour he can take this for the champion trainer.
