    Verdict

Penny Royale ended last season with a head defeat over track and trip. That was on fast ground but she has gone close in soft going before. Perfect Peak has been competing on the all-weather and went close at Southwell earlier this month but the lightly-raced RACING ANGEL won over course and distance in July and she may prove good enough on her return with more to come this year. Taffetta finished third behind the selection here but re-opposes on better terms and is preferred to Spring Bird while Hello Beautiful should have improved from a recent comeback run on the all-weather.
