NEWBERRY NEW took some time to warm up over timber but followed a very impressive maiden victory at Gowran with another success in a Grade 2 on this track. The latter form would have been boosted had joint runner-up Voix Du Reve not fallen when in the lead at the last at Cheltenham and Jessica Harrington's charge can complete a hat-trick. Tocororo eventually dead-heated with Voix Du Reve and was only half-a-length behind at the finish so with a 3lb pull has to be a major threat though he's held by the selection's stable companion Lake Champlain on their form at Down Royal last August. Slowmotion arrived from France with a big reputation and though beaten on her debut for Aidan O'Brien at Limerick might just have needed the run and is expected to do much better. Rashaan was beaten a long way behind Footpad in a Grade 1 at Leopardstown but the form of that race has worked out very well. Jer's Girl was an impressive Grade 1 winner yesterday.
