A competitive handicap chase that should be run at a good gallop can go to Tribal Dancer now that he has rediscovered the winning thread and he is just preferred over Orswell Crest and the in-form Penthouse Minstrel, who, along with Pecadillo, head the list of dangers. Although support for Commanche War Paint will also be interesting as he stays all day and will exploit any chinks in the armour of the rest if this becomes a test of resilience in the dash for the line. However, Tribal Dancer emerged from the doldrums with a gutsy win at Huntingdon last time and, although 11lb higher in the weights, he is still fairly treated on the best of his previous form. This sort of trip is just about right for Venetia Williams' charge and he could be too tough for the rest to get past if he again shows that grim determination he is noted for when he is on song. Orswell Crest goes well at this time of year and, although he lacks a change of gears on occasions, he is fancied as the best of the rest.
