In depth

Formwatch

Condoyle (IRE) Drop back in trip may bring about some improvement but he looks to have a bit to prove on the balance of form.

Freddy Flintstone Set a modest pace until weakened three out on his hurdles bow at Plumpton recently, should have learnt from that effort but looks held by a few of these.

Kitley Creek Open to improvement but will need to do so to figure here.

Miracle Kid (USA) Another open to improvement over timber and shaped as if about to hit form last time, should not be to far away in this company.

Shareef (FR) Fared well enough in a couple of bumpers in the summer to suggest he has a future over hurdles, but more will become apparent to his true ability after the race, best watched this time.

Shotacross The Bow (IRE) Fairly useful performer on the flat, and held the fairly useful Yakareem by a couple of lengths on his hurdling debut at Wolverhampton in August. Not seen since but he is sure to have learnt from the experience and definite shortlist material.

Surefast Looks to have a little to find with a few of these and is passed over here.

Westminster City (USA) Cut little ice on his hurdling debut at Southwell in August and is not hard to leave alone here.

Indoux (FR) Shown little to warrant a recommendation so-far.
