Hugo De Perro (FR) Has the makings of a chaser but has been found wanting for a turn of foot when it matters. However, He did win a similar event at Market Rasen back in May, and is not totally out of it despite giving weight away all round.
Present Bleu (FR) Comes here at the top of his game and it may be significant that McCoy has chosen to partner him instead of Hugo De Perro in what is theoretically a more difficult task for the six-year-old than of late.
Bohill Lad (IRE) In good form this term (yet to finish out of the first two in five outings since June), should be thereabouts again but this step in trip is not sure to suit.
Boater On a long losing run and looks held by Present Blue after their meeting here a little over a week ago.
Gumley Gale In good form at present and was going well when he fell three out at Hereford last time. He should be on the premises if showing no ill-effects from that run and represent better value than the likely favourite Present Bleu.
Distant Storm A fine servant to connections and gets on well with today's rider, should run his race but looks destined for a minor role here.
Mitcheldean (IRE) Handled this course well enough when tried here in April and should go well again if fit enough after 169 days away from the track.
