Verdict

The sole newcomer Polish Trick makes limited appeal so this is probably best left to those with experience and the vote goes to Prince of Thebes, who gets the verdict over Night Worker. The last mentioned hails from the stable of Richard Hannon who's two-year-old team continues in good form. It is difficult to know what the son of Dracula achieved when third, beaten a long way, at Lingfield last time but, given that the winner Dallaah is potentially out of the top drawer and the second looks a useful Loder inmate, the form is probably useful. However, he has only run over six furlongs so far while Prince Of Thebes has form over today's trip having chased home Josephus and Secretary General in what is usually a reliable maiden at Newmarket. A reproduction of that should suffice. Queenstown made a promising debut over course and distance a fortnight ago and is entitled to improve on the run, while Papeete belied market odds on her first start at Windsor when finishing well and is another to consider. Prince Of Thebes sets a fair standard though and rates the one they all have to beat.
