PLAISTERER is our selection at the expense of Resurge in a competitive race. Chris Wall's mare ran well enough on holding ground at Haydock following an absence and that run shouldn't have been lost on her. She's now only a couple of pounds below her latest winning mark and this is the easiest assignment she's been set in a long time, so we'll give her the each-way vote. Resurge benefitted from a fine ride to win over course and distance last time and is considered up 7lb with the ground to his liking but he may have just been flattered and this is a tougher contest. Tartan Gunna has gone well here too but there have to be slight stamina concerns under these conditions and Ramona Chase is considered more of a threat. He's got a very modest wins-to-runs ratio but enjoys ease in the ground and has dropped to a very nice mark judging by his form in better races this season. Blues Music ran well behind a subsequent winner at Sandown and is considered as an unexposed sort up just 2lb.
