      Verdict

      Eve Johnson Houghton's Lauberhorn should appreciate the return to turf having been well held on the Polytrack at Kempton over further last time and has claims off a 5lb higher mark than when successful at Pontefract in June. Roger Charlton's Goldtrek seems too high in the weights now following his earlier successes this term, while the John Hills-trained First Fandango has more to do than when landing a Bath maiden last month. Henry Cecil's HEART OF HEARTS is unexposed after just four outings and ran well in this grade for the first time when a close up third behind the Michael Jarvis-trained Yashrid at Ascot in June, form that looks solid. She has an obvious chance off just a 1lb higher mark today and is preferred to Mark Johnston's in-form Epic, who has won three of his last four starts and has shown improved form for being stepped up in trip but may now be too high in the weights.
