Yet another competitive handicap closes the card and we're taking a chance at some value here by selection ABRAHAM LINCOLN to score ahead of Aye Aye Digby with Mutamared given a chance at the place money at a bigger price. The selection is a Ballydoyle cast-off after not quite living up to expectations. In his pomp he was running off marks as high as 107 and while those proved to be unrealistic he has started to show he still retains some ability now rated in the mid-nineties. He should handle the ground just fine and is weighted to run a big race. Aye Aye Digby is certainly running well this season and coped well with this mark last time after being raised five pounds for a cosy success at Goodwood previously. He should go well again but would probably like the ground a little slower. Mutamared has gone off the boil a little since landing a fair handicap in February but should go better now back down to the same rating he carried when taking that success. Something was a winner of a decent race at Kempton last time but has never scored over this trip while Cape Vale could get involved in the prize money off a light weight. It's a trick end to a trick day but Abraham Lincoln looks good value.
