Warsaw Pact looks a capable sort and should do well amongst this fairly modest company but our pick is PACHA D'OUDAIRIES; Shannon Springs also makes the shortlist. The selection comes from the inform yard of Paul Nicholls and is expected to go one better here today after finishing runner up at the last two occasions. The gelding looked well over this trip when last seen and should have come on for the outing. Warsaw Pact had been in a decent vein of form until finishing after everything else when last seen. She is a very capable sort though and can be forgiven for that terrible outing. He's proved a good type in the past though and other recent form suggests he should be capable of making the frame. Shannon Springs was a beaten favourite last time after unseating her rider but form previous to that is pretty good. The seven-year-old should settle better here and a place among the minors isn't beyond him. David Pipe's Raslan should fare well but the earlier mentioned may just outclass him, King Jack was a lucky third last time and won't find things so easy here. Pacha D'Oudairies makes the selection here then, in a rather tricky looking opener.
