Verdict

NOSLER is taken to land this maiden at the main expense of Alanna Castle and King of Castile. The Paul Nicholls trained selection was returning from a 143 day break when last seen and ran creditably, finishing third. The lightly raced seven-year-old looked to have that race in the bag before getting the last all wrong, but he should have come on for the outing and land this maiden. Allana Castle has winning experience on the flat, but was pulled up on his hurdling debut last time. It would be unfair to judge him on that performance given that his jockey's saddle had slipped; he wasn't far behind given the circumstances and is worth another chance. Paul Webber's King of Castile ran with credit on his reappearance last time and any natural improvement should see him make the minors. The betting may help us with the rest who have little on offer in the way of good form, Tony McCoy take the ride of Sagredo but a vast improvement on last years form is needed, Venir Rouge looks best of the remainder but has proven inconsistent in the past and may be best watched, so for us Nosler looks set to score.
