DEPORTMENT might now be good enough to break his maiden tag, while Ebiayn, Feathered Crown and Mefraas can all again go well. The last-named has been producing some good performances in the context of this race, but has become expensive to follow, having finished in the frame in all of his last five starts. Having found it too tough from a mark of 74 in handicaps he is switched back to a maiden, but he is vulnerable once more. The same applies to Feathered Crown. Henry Cecil's colt may have finished runner-up at Pontefract last time but he was beaten fully 12 lengths that day and he may do better when handicapping. Ebiayn continues in this sphere, rather than handicapping, and a mark of 82 appears to have scared Michael Jarvis away from handicapping for the time being, which does not augur well here either. Uncle Keef is a well-related Sadler¿s Wells colt who makes his debut here for Marcus Tregoning, and although late for this first run he should do well at this age and with the yard absolutely flying he could go very close. Dubai Creek is another nice newcomer, though he is likely to need this and will probably be better with cut in the ground, leading us to Deportment. James Fanshawe had a recent winner so his runners are going well enough, and this Barathea filly is is once again tried over this trip after a couple of reasonable efforts so far should now have her spot on. She can continue her improvement and be good enough to take this.
