Verdict

Former Group One performer Lang Shining bounced back to form in a similar race last time but on these terms this claimer should go to specialist ROYAL DIGNITARY while Grand Vista can go close if consenting to race. Having notched up a hat-trick of plating class races the pick was only just denied the four-timer in a blanket finish last time. His trainer has a good record in these races and he is well served by the framing of the contest. Lang Shining displayed a better attitude than in recent starts when staying on well to win last time out. That said he needed every yard of that race to score so the step down in trip is not an obvious plus. Grand Vista is best in at the weights based on the official ratings but he's wildly out of form although dropped into this grade for the first time we can expect better. Ginger Grey only found one too good in a handicap last time but while he's on form he has it to do in this line-up so Royal Dignitary can get back to winning ways.
