GRANDMASTER FLASH has had three runs here finishing second in them all and also occupied that position in a handicap at Kempton a couple of weeks ago. He's taking on mainly hurdlers here and should have too much pace for them. Convara has won over hurdles and hasn't been beaten far in three runs in handicaps over the course and distance so looks a threat. Captain Cobajay has been in winning form over hurdles as has Happy Lad though the latter may find this on the short side. Hannon makes his track debut but went well in two maidens on Turf in the summer before a fine run in a very tough handicap hurdle at Listowel. Lucky Phil ran in a novices' chase at Tramore last time but had previously won a handicap hurdle at Gowran in good style. The Frankel filly Proxy has been disappointing on Turf and has her first start on the surface.
