Nigg Bay gained his first victory in eleven starts on the track last week though that was over 6f and he was well beaten in this last year. He also finished behind Plough Boy over that trip at Laytown and the latter can usually be relied on to run his race from this sort of mark. Strong Johnson has only had six starts and landed a Navan maiden last month so if taking to the surface can get into contention. Fellow three-year-old ONEIROI (NAP) was narrowly beaten over much further here in February and dropped back to an extended 5f to land a Navan maiden last month. Further progress can see him complete a double though Aloysius Lilius ran a cracker at Navan last time while six-times track winner Danz Gift would have to be considered if getting a run from his reserve spot.
