Verdict

KARKARI has done enough in five starts over timber to take this. Noel Lawlor's charge was narrowly beaten by Raheenwood at Tramore in August and then found only Wee Giant too good over today's C&D last month. In the latter race he had Black Rock Lake nine lengths back in third, Katys Girl a short-head further behind in fourth, and Connemare Kate another length away in fifth. It's unlikely that any of the beaten trio can reverse the form while Scottish Affair was even further behind and has since been well beaten at Sligo.
