The locally-trained CARSONSTOWN BOY ran a brilliant race when runner-up to Ringaroses in a Grade 3 handicap hurdle at Aintree and ran well enough on both starts over fences at Navan to suggest he can be just as good over fences. Cloone Stream started odds-on for his second outing over fences at Kilbeggan after a promising run at Punchestown but was beaten by Mayo Abbey. Charlie Swan's useful hurdler should make his presence felt while Financialregulator has done well in both starts over the bigger obstacles and is another on the short-list. Carutomark is still a maiden after 21 starts but was having his first run over fences when runner-up to King High at Tramore and should do better.
