COVERT AMBITION was a winner on his debut last October and is tipped to score at the main expense of Wind Star and Final Verse. The selection, whose dam developed into top-class mare, represents the Godolphin yard and he came home an impressive winner when last seen. The colt is a good looking sort and he should be capable of holding his own in this better company. Wind Star is in superb heart of late, winning at the last two attempts. The gelding's ability to find a change of gear at the business end will continue to stand him in good stead here, as will the forecast easy ground. Final Verse a Listed winner in the past for Sir Michael Stoute, is only 1lb above his last winning mark and ran well on this seasonal debut last time. His current trainer clearly has him in good heart. Granston has been in good order since reappearing and has done well on his recent Doncaster efforts but a rise in the weights looks to have halted any hopes of a follow up. Walter Swinburn's Hevelius looks best of the remainder. The colt was a winner over this trip when last seen, but that was almost a year ago though and he may need the run out here. A market should reveal anything worth knowing about the rest, but for us Covert Ambition looks best.
