Mick Channon won this last year so Birkenhead, a very speedily-bred son of Captain Gerard, is one to note as is Walton Thorns, a half-brother to six winners, from a yard in form and another with plenty of pace in his pedigree. Coast Of Dubai will do better with another furlong in time but has the rail to aid his cause and Kevin Ryan should have him fit enough.
