Gabrial, who won this way back in 2013, landed the Lincoln two years later, was a close fourth in 2017 and occupied the same position last year. He generally does best with a bit of cut in the ground so more rain would help. David O'Meara has a justified reputation for rejuvenating horses and he could work his magic with Remarkable, a very smart handicapper for John Gosden but not seen since landing a Class 2 handicap at Ascot in 2017 and he starts the campaign on a 3lb higher mark. SHARJA BRIDGE is on the same rating having won the lucrative Balmoral Handicap at Ascot in October on his final start. He hasn't had much experience for a five-year-old so running in this Listed company looks a natural progression and he gets the vote. Circus Couture, a regular winner in Italy, was a long way behind in that latter event and needs heavy ground but Red Starlight ran very well in two Listed contests in the autumn after completing an all-weather double
