Princess Cocoa was good value for her win in a Wolverhampton handicap last week and she is taken to defy the 6lb penalty for that success back on turf, getting the vote ahead of Hazelnut and Salute The General. The last mentioned has shown a consistent level of form recently and is entitled to be thereabouts on recent evidence. Maslak is gradually slipping to a fair mark but remains a maiden, while Clueless has given little cause for optimism in recent starts. Dragon Slayer has claims on the pick of his form but is inconsistent and a bigger threat may come from Hazelnut who should appreciate the return to this trip but may ideally want a softer surface. A safer bet then looks to be Princess Cocoa and she gets the verdict.
