There is little to choose between Hamish McGonagall and Cheveton on their running when first and second at Musselburgh a fortnight ago and both have to be respected but marginal preference in a competitive contest is for the in-form JUDGE 'N JURY. The four-year-old has shown much improved form this term, winning four of his last six starts, and he is taken to win again and defy the 5lb rise for his latest success. Haajes is held by the selection on the form of his last outings but does have a decent pull in the weights. Willie Muir's Tony The Tap has, like Judge 'n Jury, won his last two starts but a 6lb rise for the latest of them looks harsh, while Kay Two has more to do than when successful at Pontefract last time. John Quinn's Fantasy Explorer has come into form of late and is another worthy of a mention along with Tim Easterby's Captain Dunne but it is Judge 'n Jury that gets the vote.
