This isn't as competitive as the numbers suggest and the biggest problem is sorting out which side the pace may be, so the suggestion is to have a couple of runners on either side with Dispol Katie and Spring Jim for the high draw and Ian Wood's pair of Enchantment and Morag suggest among those drawn low, and while he looks to have something to find with quite a few of his rivals on what he has achieved so far, Spring Jim looks as though he may have been laid out for this and is lumbered with the vote. His run at Pontefract was quite encouraging as the four to finish in front of him all came from top yards. He is a brother to the smart sprinter Torosay Spring, who himself got better as he got older and he has the added bonus of the stands' side rail to help. After winning at Beverley in August, David Barron nominated this Sales race as Dispol Katie's target. Although she has been on the go since April, she hasn't that many miles on the clock and looks sure to give a good account. Morag, a dual-winner in the summer over seven-furlongs, does have something to find strictly on handicap terms, but if you can forgive a poor effort at Lingfield last time, he should be doing his best work in the closing stages and isn't without a chance. Neither is stablemate Enchantment, who wasn't disgraced in the valuable Watership Down Sales race at Ascot. Prior to that she had turned in her best effort when not beaten far in a Listed contest at Ayr, with rivals rated 84 and 90 behind her. Strictly on that effort, she has a chance second to none in this but with Dispol Katie likely to take them along on the stands' side rails that could just set this up nicely for Spring Jim.
