A tough race to get to grips with as many of these lack the experience to warrant a solid recommendation and, in truth, this is little more than a guessing game in the absence of a reliable betting guide. Therefore the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Garryurra, as the obvious one out of those with a previous outing, is given the nod over Mommemkin, Mystical Girl and Queen Of Scots - although moves for any of Dawn Sunrise, Blaze Of Colour and Danzig's Heiress should not be dismissed lightly. Garryurra will no doubt be a popular selection if his debut run at Kempton is taken on face value. However, his pedigree is a fascinating mixture of stamina and speed so he should have very few problems with this first try at a mile. The old adage about experience has solid foundations and, as the Stoute team does so well with horses of his type, he is defiantly one to keep on the right side of whatever happens today. Dawn Sunrise is the obvious alternative of the, as yet, unraced pretenders. And it has to be considered significant that Godolphin have held back this daughter of Theatrical until now. However, as her dam was effective at around twelve furlongs when she raced in Argentina, so she may just benefit from the run today. So Garryurra edges a slender vote on a strict form book reading alone.
