In depth

Verdict

Zulu Girl won three times last year and is just starting to slip down the weights again. Finery has won on Turf but seems better on the all-weather and that latter comment definitely applies to stable companion Khatwah. Alpha Cru made no impression on her reappearance and is sure to strip fitter here but SPIRIT OF THE BAY (NAP) looks the one to be on. Clive Cox’ charge rattled up a four-timer last summer and was only half-a-length behind the winner on her return to action over a mile at Kempton despite being hampered when starting her challenge.
