BOURNE is open to more improvement than most of his rivals and he is selected accordingly. Luca Cumani's gelding won at Nottingham when last seen in May and with that win under his belt he should defy a 5lb higher mark, especially as he seems to go well fresh. Orbitor needs a market check on his first run for the wily George Baker, whilst Beetuna has been kept busy since coming over from France but looks to be thriving. Zahoo has gone up for losing at Newbury but her pilot should have gone for home earlier so that move by the handicapper looks justified, whilst guesswork is needed to work out how well treated the maiden winners Dark Promise and Tarooq may be. The booking of Ryan Moore for Aneel seems to suggest connections mean business, and along with Rock The Stars he commands respect. The in-form King Zeal is another to consider despite his rising mark, however a bigger threat might be Ailsa Craig now returned to better ground.
