Not a red hot maiden for the track and Internationaldebut, who was last seen running in Group 1 company here, looks capable of taking it. The selection was runner up on debut at this track on fast ground and after an abortive follow up in bottomless conditions at Ayr he returned for the Racing Post Trophy, when finishing 11 lengths adrift of Ibn Khaldun. That form would give him a decent chance here provided he handles the ground. Clive Cox saddles Mekong Melody, who finished a fair way in front of a 70-rated runner on debut at Kempton last month and looks capable of improving here. She could take a close hand. Fiulin showed promise on his Nottingham debut last November and should handle some cut. The step up in trip will certainly suit and if straight enough here he can go close. Mark Johnston's Always Cruising is an interesting newcomer who should have plenty of speed and it is perhaps significant that the trainer has chosen to send him over this trip first time. Market clues should be noted. Tharawaat is perhaps best of the rest, but Internationaldebut is the suggestion here.
