      In depth

      Verdict

Folga can end a run of seconds by landing the finale, with Tequila Sheila, Graze On, and Skiddaw Wolf out to stop her. Folga was successful at Bath in a fillies' handicap in May and has continued to run well in defeat since, finishing a close second at Sandown, Carlisle and Newmarket. James Given's charge probably bumped into an above-average rival in the shape of Hornpipe at headquarters, so lost nothing in defeat, and deserves to get back to winning ways. Tequila Sheila met trouble in running when a fast-finishing second at Lingfield but has more to do here. Graze On gave a much improved showing when second at Haydock, no doubt helped by a kinder handicap mark, but the suspicion is that he will be helped by a drop back to the minimum trip in future. Skiddaw Wolf gets a six-pound pull with Knot In wood for the two lengths that separated them at Hamilton, and in fact can meet the selection on half a stone better terms for half a length on earlier Musselburgh running, so should not be left out of calculations. However, Folga has been knocking at the door lately and is taken to go one better.
